project 52 (21/52…slow down and look back)

It’s week 21 and the theme for the week…SLOW DOWN AND LOOK BACK.

This week’s theme immediately made me think of Ben. He transitioned from crawler to walker about a month or so ago and since then he has been go, go, go. To him, the pace of life just got kicked up a notch because he can now get to where he wants to go even faster. He is so full of life and loves to explore the world around him and never slows down. As a parent, it is a tough thing to watch your baby grow and grow and move faster and farther away from you. I see it in Seth too, as he gets older, with him gaining more and more independence, he doesn’t need me as much. As a parent, ever once in a while, it would be nice for them to SLOW DOWN, stop growing before our eyes and LOOK BACK every once in awhile.

Too me, this theme also means…STOP, take a moment to look at the world around you…we all move so fast from one thing to the next, do we ever SLOW DOWN and LOOK BACK?
